AUGUST 16 -- BIBLE STORY SUMMARY
In week three, we head to the Book of Esther. God’s people were in danger. Esther’s cousin, Mordecai, knew that she as the new Queen of Persia, she the perfect person to help save them. They put their creativity into action to devise a plan to trap Haman and expose his plot to kill the Jews. Their plan succeeds and God’s people are saved!
That's why this week's Bottom Line is: God created you for a purpose.
Kids are just starting to figure out how they are wired, what they enjoy doing, and how God has uniquely gifted them. We pray that as kids discover more about how God created them, they would start to understand more about how they play a part in what God is doing in the world.

Bed Time:
Read the story about Esther. As a family discuss this question, “What is something that excites you or gives you energy?” God has a purpose for us and sometimes that might seem really hard to figure out. Pay attention to the moments you get excited about ideas or service projects and realize that might be part of what His purpose is for you. Talk about how you can help each other grow in the areas you discussed and pray for God's clarity on His purpose for you.
