Open/download/print the PARENT GUIDE.
Gather your family together where you can watch the Bible video and you have room to do the activities.
WHAT YOU SAY:
Our August Life App is "Creativity".
A life app is something that God wants to do IN you to change the world AROUND you. And creativity is imagining what you can do because you are made in God's image.
There are so many things we can do to help others, including treating others with kindness and compassion. This month, let's keep our focus on being creative and sharing God's love in creative and amazing ways!

If you have a Bible, open it to Genesis 1-2:3, or pull it up on a Bible App. Help kids find where the passage is located.
WHAT YOU SAY:
This month, we will be imagining what we can do because we are made in God's image. And all month long, we'll be looking at examples of God's creations in the Bible.
Today, we'll start in the Book of Genesis and discover some things about the beginning of the universe. Looking around at creation, we can't help but notice God's creativity!
From nothing, God spoke the universe into existence. We see how God is big enough to create the world and personal enough to love us, no matter what.

Our take away or "bottom line" from today's story is that there's no limit to God's creativity.
When we look at the world and notice God's amazing creativity, we can be filled with wonder and can be inspired to find ways to care for our natural surroundings. Did you know that Foothills UMC has an Earth Care group that looks for ways to be stewards of our environment and the world around us? And did you know that The United Methodist Church has a focus area called "Creation Care"?
There is no limit to God's creativity. How can we use our creativity to celebrate God's creations?
Let's do a KidsConnect activity to connect with today's Bible message.
