"Flat Jesus” was created from the basis of a children’s book called Flat Stanley, (written by Jeff Brown). In the book, a boy named Stanley becomes flattened and is able to be mailed to different places, having all kinds of exciting adventures.
We'd like to share pictures of you, your kids, your family (even your family pet!) with Flat Jesus. Maybe he goes on a walk with you (like Jesus does on the Road to Emmaus). Maybe he eats breakfast with you (like Jesus does with the disciples on the beach). Maybe he hangs out with you when you're doing homework. Or cooking dinner. Or talking to a friend on the phone. Or practicing a musical instrument. Or whatever you are doing! We'll be showing the photos during the May 24th worship service, so please email your photo by 5pm Friday, May 22. Make sure the photo includes YOU, too! HOW TO CREATE YOUR VERY OWN “FLAT JESUS”: 1. Print a copy of "Flat Jesus" using the files provided on this page. 2. Decorate your “Flat Jesus.” Be creative! 3. When you have taken photos* of “Flat Jesus,” email it to Ms. Lisa, to the church email address foothills@foothillsumc.org, or post it to our private Facebook group (@Foothills Family Ministries).
