WHAT YOU DO:
If you have a Bible, open it to Acts 27:1 - Acts 28:10, or pull it up on a Bible App. Help kids find where the passage is located.
WHAT YOU SAY:
All summer long, we’re focusing on what it means to have faith. Faith is trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see.
Sometimes, we need to pause and take a closer look at what God is doing all around us. There are so many things that show us how good He is—from the beauty of nature, to our friends and family, to the stories we read in the Bible. We may not be able to see God with our eyes. But when we focus on the things we know about God, we see more and more that He is good—and that we can trust Him no matter what.
Today's Bible message is about Paul. Paul wasn’t always a Jesus-follower. But once he did decide to put his faith in Jesus, he wanted to share the good news with everyone.
Things were certainly not easy for Paul, and in today's story from the Book of Acts, we'll see how knowing Jesus helped Paul change the way he saw his problems.

APPLYING THE MESSAGE TO OUR LIVES
WHAT YOU SAY:
There were so many times along the way when Paul could have given up. He faced storms, angry mobs, people trying to kill him, being arrested, and even being bitten by a snake! But through all of his problems, Paul never gave up. He knew this: knowing Jesus changes the way you see your problems.
Paul didn’t see his problems as something that would stop him. He knew that Jesus was always with him—through the good and bad times along the way.
That’s something we can remember, too, whenever we have problems that seem overwhelming. So, if you’re going through a hard time at school and feel like you’re alone, remember that God is with you. If you’re sick or get hurt, remember that God is with you. When a friend moves away, or you lose someone you care about, remember that God is with you.
Let's do a KidsConnect activity to connect with today's Bible message.

CONNECT WITH OTHERS
Take a photo of your family doing one of the activities and post it to our private Facebook group @ Foothills Family Ministries or ask Ms. Lisa to share it lisastewart@foothillsumc.org. Seeing pictures of other KidsConnect families doing the activities will hopefully help us feel connected during this time of physical isolation!
