WHAT YOU DO:
Open/download/print the PARENT GUIDE.
Gather your family together where you can watch the Bible video and you have room to do the activities.
WHAT YOU SAY:
Our June Life App is "Confidence: learning to see yourself the way God sees you." True confidence should be build on something that lasts forever--God's never ending love for us. And nowhere is this more evident than in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. And when you put your confidence in Jesus, you can truly see yourself as God sees you.
A life app is something that God wants to do IN you to change the world AROUND you. And by keeping our focus on kindness this month, we will begin to realize how important it is for us to be kind to ourselves and to others.

APPLYING THE MESSAGE TO OUR LIVES
WHAT YOU SAY:
Gideon was full of doubt and uncertainty. But he still chose to follow God, and God used him to do something absolutely incredible! God used Gideon to save the Israelite people.
Here’s a simple truth: God can use you no matter what the situation.
Gideon wasn’t sure he was the right guy for the job. But God used him to do big things.
God can do big things through us, too—even though we sometimes don’t feel ready. We don’t have to save the Israelite people like Gideon did, but maybe God can use us to help people who don’t have enough food. You could pick up some extra jars of peanut butter at the store, OR you could put a flyer in your neighborhood and ask people to put a bag of non perishable food on their porch on a specific day and you can pick up those bags of food and bring them to church for the Bethlehem Food Pantry. Our church volunteers serve more than 300 families every Saturday with food. There is always a need.
Maybe God can use you to help a friend who is sad because their dog recently died. You could ask them to help you walk your dog and brush your dog so that they have another pet to love on.
There are so many every-day things that you can do to help others – to be the light of Christ in someone’s life.
In fact, God used ordinary people to do big things, all throughout the Bible.
Think about how Jesus chose regular people to be His closest friends, the disciples.
Then, they changed the world by telling everyone about God!
God can work through any of us, if we have the courage to trust Him and follow His plan for our lives.
Now, let's do a KidsConnect activity to connect with today's Bible message.
