Experience the worship service and the KidsConnect message remotely from your home.
1) Watch the saved Live Stream Worship Service on Facebook @Foothillsumc.
2) Participate in a "virtual KidsConnect" at home, using the information below:
OVERVIEW:
Jesus brought His followers to a mountain to explain to them what it means to live as part of God’s kingdom. During that message, He said something important about forgiveness. In Matthew 5:23-24 Jesus said, “Suppose you are offering your gift at the altar. And you remember that your brother or sister has something against you. Leave your gift in front of the altar. First go and make peace with them. Then come back and offer your gift.” We should seek to make things right with others before trying to worship God. That's why our Bottom Line this week is: Take the first step to forgive others. Forgiveness is important to God. If we are in a difficult situation with someone, we should seek to make it right with them. While there are some relationships that might never be fully restored, we can at least try to offer and show forgiveness to others in our life.
MATERIALS NEEDED: upbeat music, paper and a pencil.
Gather your family together where you can watch the Bible video and you have room to do the activities.
What you Say:
Our March Life App is Forgiveness. Forgiveness means that someone who has wronged you doesn't pay. A life app is something that God wants to do IN you to change the world AROUND you.
What you Do:
If you have a Bible, open it to Matthew 5:23-24 or pull it up on a Bible App. Help kids find where the passage is located.
Show this video. It includes a worship song you can sing together--motions, too! There's a narrator who introduces the Bible story and also does the "wrap up". https://vimeo.com/showcase/6860371/video/397217832

Lead your family to do the activities in the document below. (In KidsConnect, the kids would be doing these activities in their small groups to reinforce this week's "bottom line" message: everyone needs to be forgiven.)

CONNECTION "ACTION"
Take a photo of your family doing one of the activities and post it to our private Facebook group @ Foothills Family Ministries or email it to lisastewart@foothillsumc.org. It will be fun to see other families doing the activities and will hopefully help us feel more connected during this time of physical isolation.
