OCTOBER 18 -- BIBLE STORY SUMMARY

This week, we head to 2 Kings 5 where we find the prophet Elisha and his servant named Gehazi. Gehazi seized the chance to use dishonest to take advantage of Naaman’s gratitude and get riches for himself. He went behind Elisha’s back, denied his actions, and inevitably lost Elisha’s trust.

That's why our Bottom Line this week is: When you’re not truthful, you lose trust.

Being truthful is not just about the lie you tell and the consequence you might receive. When you don’t have integrity, people will start to see that you’re not really who you say you are.

Bed Time:

Talk about this:  When you don’t tell the truth, people find out. And when they find out, they might stop trusting you. Your teachers might not give you as many privileges. Your friends may not want to hang out with you. It’s always better to be truthful.

Pray for each other, that God will give you the courage to be truthful with the people in your life.
