BRING: If you are in a position to donate, we will be collecting food for the Bethlehem Pantry. Cereal, peanut butter and canned tuna are greatly needed. 

NOTE: The southern entrance to the parking lot will be the only entrance point from Avocado Blvd.

​What is Quarantine-o-ween?

Trunk-or-Treat will look different this year, so we're calling it Quarantine-o-ween!

It is a drive-through event where you can vote for the trunks with the best decorations, look for items hidden at the trunks, and listen to our amazing DJ broadcasting to your car's radio!

All kids will receive a goodie bag at the end of the route.

There is no cost to attend this event but we ask that you consider bringing non-perishable foods -- such as cereal, peanut butter and canned tuna / chicken -- to donate to the Bethlehem Food Pantry. The pantry distributes over 300 bags of food every Saturday morning at the Good Shepherd Ministry Center in El Cajon, so your donation will help make a difference in someone's life!

Want to Help?

WE NEED LOTS OF TRUNKS!

• Reserve your parking space by emailing lisastewart@foothillsumc.org or completing this online form.
• Think of how you'll decorate your trunk and what costume you'll wear. See the contest categories list for ideas.
• If you need electricity, please bring a generator. No electricity from the building will be available.
• You must wear a face mask (required) and you cannot give out anything to the cars that drive by your trunk.
• There will be two parking spaces between each trunk to maintain physical distancing.
• Prizes will be awarded to the trunks that win each of the judging contest categories, so if you'd like to improve your chances of winning, decorate for one (or more) of the categories.
• When decorating, please keep in mind that there will be preschool-age kids admiring your decorations. Please refrain from decorating with political party references and blood/gore/weapons.
• Plan to arrive between 2:00-2:20 so you'll have time to decorate and be ready at/by 2:55pm. Use the southern-most parking lot entrance and check in at the check-in table to get your trunk number and item to "hide in plain sight" at your trunk for the scavenger hunt.

DONATE CANDY!

• We need candy for the goodie bags. No candy will be given out from the trunks, but each kid will receive a goodie bag at the end of the event route. Please drop off your candy at the church on Sunday morning October 25 (8:30am) or by Wednesday, October 28. Please coordinate a drop off time with lisastewart@foothillsumc.org.

HELP DIRECT TRAFFIC AT THE EVENT

• We need at least four (4) parking lot attendants to help with traffic flow and to greet cars along the parking lot route. Contact lisastewart@foothillsumc.org if you're interested. You can wear a costume if you'd like! We will provide safety vests, but if you already have one, please use yours.
